Bible College SA offers a number of courses for students who have not completed a previous theological degree. Mature age entry is available for students aged 21 or over; younger students need to have achieved an ATAR score of at least 75.

 

Diplomas

  • 12 months full-time (or part-time equivalent) study.
  • Diploma of Ministry (DipMin) – 8 units with at least half in foundational Bible, 1 in Christian Thought, and 2 in Ministry and Practice
  • Diploma of Theology (DipTh) – 8 units with at least half in foundational Bible, 2 in Christian Thought, and at least 1 other in non-Ministry and Practice units


Advanced Diplomas

  • 18 months full-time (or part-time equivalent) study.
  • Advanced Diploma of Ministry (AdvDipMin) – 12 units with at least 4 in foundational Bible units, 2 in advanced Bible, 2 in Christian Thought, and 3 in Ministry and Practice
  • Advanced Diploma of Theology (AdvDipTh) – 12 units with at least 4 in foundational Bible units, 2 in advanced Bible, and 4 in Christian Thought


Associate Degree of Theology

  • 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) study with specialisations in one of three areas:
  • Bible and Languages –16 units with at least 4 in foundational Bible units, 6 in advanced Bible or Biblical Languages, and 4 in Christian Thought
  • Christian Thought – 16 units with at least 4 in foundational Bible units, 2 in advanced Bible or Biblical Languages, and 8 in Christian Thought
  • Ministry Studies –16 units with at least 4 in foundational Bible units, 2 in advanced Bible or Biblical Languages, 2 in Christian Thought, and 5 in Ministry and Practice


Bachelor Degrees

  • 3 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) study.
  • Bachelor of Christian Studies (BChrStud) – 24 units with 8 units being in a non-theological field of study from a provider external to the ACT, at least 4 in foundational Bible units, 2 in advanced Bible, 4 in Christian Thought, and 1 unit which relates the non-theological field of study to the Christian faith
  • Bachelor of Ministry (BMin) – 24 units with 8 at least 4 in foundational Bible units, 3 in advanced Bible, 5 in Christian Thought, 1 in Biblical Languages, and 5 in Ministry and Practice
  • Bachelor of Theology (BTh) – 24 units with 8 at least 4 in foundational Bible units, 6 in advanced Bible, 6 in Christian Thought, and 2 in Biblical Languages


Students who complete a BMin or BTh with at least an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and a GPA of 2.8 in the desired field of study are entitled to undertake an additional Honours year which consists of 4 units of study including 1 unit of Research Methods and a minimum of 2 units in the desired field of study, and concludes with a 15000 word thesis.
