The tour will be led by Glenn Clarke, Bible College SA's lecturer in Church History, assisted by his wife Linda. Both Glenn and Linda have previously visited many of the great historic centres of Europe. Glenn's particular area of interest is in the Swiss Reformation.

Join us as we visit the giant cathedrals of the Italian cities of Milan and Turin, and the Valleys of the Waldenses in the Piedmont Alps. Be amazed at the Palace of the Popes in Avignon, the seat of Western Christianity in the 14th century.

We will explore the major centres of the Swiss Reformation. Geneva, where John Calvin worked; Zurich, where Ulrich Zwingli and Henry Bullinger lived and preached, the story of the Anabaptists and many other fascinating centres where the Reformation of the 16th century took hold. Take in the beauty of the Swiss countryside and experience medieval towns.


Blog Article visual2To better understand the Reformers and the challenges they faced, we will visit museums containing rare and original documents from this period and listen to the local guides explain and enlighten us about this unique period in history. Sample Swiss chocolate and taste the many varieties of Swiss cheese and other Swiss specialities.


This tour is for both students and those who have an interest learning about our Protestant heritage.
